Steven Siow Kian Shing
Managing Director / Principal Architect
In 1989, Steven started his professional journey as an Architect at Edwin Choo & Partners Architects, where he honed his architectural expertise by participating in the design and management of various school development and resort hotel projects.
Fast forward to 1995, Steven took the initiative to establish SHING DESIGN ATELIER. Over the years, his architectural portfolio has expanded significantly to encompass a diverse array of projects, including residential endeavors, conservation initiatives, industrial developments, educational facilities, resort hotels, commercial complexes, town planning initiatives, and the project management of retail developments.
Central to Steven's philosophy is the commitment to crafting imaginative and engaging architectural spaces. These spaces are not only intended to captivate and amuse but, more crucially, to fulfill their intended functions. This guiding principle continues to shape his approach to every project he undertakes.

Associate / Senior Architect
Sukaimi embarked on his architectural profession in 1989, commencing his career in the conventional manner by building a strong foundation in architectural technicalities as a draughtsman. This initial phase marked the beginning of his ongoing architectural journey.
Driven by a deepening passion for architectural design, he made the decision to pursue further studies in Sydney in 1995. Sukaimi firmly holds the belief that the essence of exceptional architecture lies in the creation of spaces that evoke human sensory experiences. This achievement is rooted in a profound understanding of the local culture and its inhabitants, harmoniously integrated with the selection of appropriate materials and cutting-edge building technologies.

Ken Chong Soo Lee
Project Manager / Wayfinding & Signage Consultant
In the early phase of his career, Ken accumulated 15 years of diverse experience within various architectural firms, engaging in a comprehensive range of architectural and interior design consultancy services. Starting from 2001, he dedicated 13 years to the LTA Architecture department, where he played a pivotal role as the primary expert in transit signage, specializing in Wayfinding and Signage for public transit infrastructure.
With the support of SPRING Singapore and the BCA Silver Industry Steering Committee, Ken assumed the role of committee chair responsible for the development of Singapore's inaugural Standard for Wayfinding Signage in Public Areas (SS 599:2014). He maintains a strong commitment to educating the industry in his specialized field by regularly conducting seminars for the BCA. Furthermore, he holds certification as a Universal Design Assessor accredited by the BCA.

Candrika adri tjo (rika)
Assistant Architect
Hailing from the esteemed Universitas Pelita Harapan in Indonesia, Rika aims to leave her mark in the realm of design and innovation, driven by her innate passion for project management. She holds a strong belief in the concept of lifelong learning, a philosophy that recently led her to achieve certification in User Experience Design Bootcamp through General Assembly.
Rika's ultimate goal is to create products and spaces that transcend mere functionality, aiming to craft experiences that are not only practical but also delightful and intuitive. Her unwavering dedication to user-centric design principles and meticulous attention to detail serve as the driving forces behind her pursuit of excellence in her field.
Outside her professional endeavors, Rika finds solace and inspiration in a variety of activities. She is an enthusiastic reader, an adventurous traveler, and has recently ventured into the realm of spirituality. Rika's diverse interests and steadfast commitment position her as an exceptional individual poised for a future marked by innovation and meaningful contributions.

Gabriel Soh
Assistant Architect
After obtaining his Master's Degree in Architecture from the University of Tasmania (AU), Gabriel embarked on his architectural career as an Urban Designer in Sydney. Subsequently, he returned to Singapore, where he amassed invaluable experiences that spanned various aspects of design, submission processes with regulatory bodies, and project management in collaboration with diverse disciplines.
Gabriel firmly holds the belief that the role of architecture should serve as a framework for fostering community life while simultaneously accommodating specific uses. This approach encompasses consideration of the spatial, temporal, and social dimensions within its environment.

kelvin Ah Kian
Assistant Architect
Kelvin Ah Kian possesses a profound enthusiasm for both Architecture and Photography. Having completed his Master's degree in Architecture at Universiti Malaya, he has consistently achieved impressive marks in design studios and actively participated in various design competitions during his academic journey.
His keen interest lies in gaining insights into the world from diverse viewpoints, while also dedicating himself to enhancing the quality of urban living through heightened awareness and education in the field of Architecture. Kelvin remains receptive to opportunities for collaboration in projects spanning the realms of Architecture, Urban Design, or Visual Arts, regardless of their scale.

Fil is a dynamic finance and administration executive. With over a decade of industry experience, Fil has consistently demonstrated a sharp attention to detail and an unwavering dedication to attaining financial excellence.
His strategic approach to financial planning and budgeting has consistently propelled the organizations he has been associated with toward increased efficiency.
Beyond his numerical acumen, Fil shows a keenness in fostering a collaborative work environment within the office.
